Why Non Freeze-Dried?

BeeAlive Royal Jelly products are the highest quality, most potent on the market because they contain only fresh, never freeze-dried Royal Jelly. Many companies freeze-dry Royal Jelly, or expose it to dry, freezing air, because it is convenient and inexpensive, but scientific research has shown freeze-drying Royal Jelly to a powder removes not only its moisture content but its nutritional benefits, as well. Benefits of nature’s precious substance have been observed in studies using only fresh, non freeze-dried Royal Jelly. We strive to preserve Royal Jelly’s complete nutritional and superfood goodness.

Because we use only fresh Royal Jelly in all of our products, we must handle nature’s delicate substance with great care. If Royal Jelly is not harvested, transported, stored and manufactured under the proper conditions, it will degrade rapidly.

10-HDA
Royal Jelly is measured by its amount of 10-HDA (10-Hydroxy-2-Decenoic Acid), a powerful fatty acid which promotes Royal Jelly’s many health benefits. Royal Jelly found in the hive contains 2% 10-HDA, which is the concentration found in our Royal Jelly. In its freeze-dried, processed, “unnatural” state, the content of 10-HDA found in Royal Jelly is generally between 4 and 6%. A higher 10-HDA does not indicate that freeze-dried Royal Jelly is superior to fresh Royal Jelly; only that its natural moisture has been removed. In fact, a study measuring the stability of fresh Royal Jelly compared to freeze-dried found that freeze-dried Royal Jelly was more prone to degradation over time than its fresh counterpart.

BeeAlive fresh Royal Jelly is as close to nature as you can get!
