Why is BeeAlive discontinuing some of its products?
The mission of BeeAlive has always been to help people look and feel their best, by providing the highest quality products, based upon the many benefits of fresh, never freeze-dried Royal Jelly and other beneficial products from the beehive. Moving forward, we are always going to be reevaluating our products, reformulating and repackaging them, as necessary, to ensure that they meet or exceed that standard, to be even better than before.
Last year, we improved the packaging of our Royal Jelly product line to become more environmentally-friendly, with an exciting new design, and bearing our President’s signature, as a guarantee of his commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This year, BeeAlive Spa Essentials™ was created to bring BeeAlive to the next generation of skin care. It allows our customers to care for their skin holistically, using naturally-sourced ingredients, without the use of synthetic preservatives or other harsh additives, dyes, or synthetic fragrances.
It is our goal to continue to do this with all BeeAlive products and bring these improved new products to you; however, the process may take some time. Therefore, we wanted to afford our customers the opportunity to stock up, in advance, for such a time period when they may be unavailable.
Royal Jelly
1. What is Royal Jelly?
Royal Jelly is a natural nutritious complex with many bio-active compounds, including 10-HDA found nowhere else in nature. Within the bee hive, Royal Jelly is produced as the exclusive food of the Queen Bee.
The number of worker bees in a hive may be in the tens of thousands, but there is only one Queen. Royal Jelly is eaten by the Queen Bee, and because of her exclusive Royal Jelly diet, the Queen Bee becomes different from the other bees in three significant ways:
- The average worker bee lives about 6 weeks, while the Queen Bee lives an astonishing 4 to 6 years.
- The Queen Bee is twice the size of female worker bees.
- The Queen can lay up to 2,000 eggs a day, often laying 100,000 to 200,000 eggs each year.
When it comes to providing the Queen Bee with sustenance, growth, and long life, Royal Jelly can only be described as one of nature’s miraculous foods. No where else in nature does the food fed to one member of a species, genetically identical at birth with other members, determine its morphology and lifespan.

2. Where does BeeAlive® Royal Jelly come from?
BeeAlive® purchases all of its Royal Jelly from hand-selected, well-cared-for hives in special areas of Thailand and Asia, researched to be ideal for harvesting premier quality Royal Jelly. Further, our Royal Jelly is independently tested by a third party lab to ensure we receive only the highest quality, pure and potent Royal Jelly.
3. What is the Difference between Fresh and Freeze-Dried Royal Jelly?
There is a big difference between fresh, in its natural-state Royal Jelly and Royal Jelly that has been freeze-dried. BeeAlive® respects what nature has created, and therefore we use only fresh, in its natural state Royal Jelly, carefully handled, shipped and stored to preserve freshness and quality, prior to use in all of our Royal Jelly Energy and ESSENTIAL dietary supplement formulas. Most companies use a freeze-drying method, which removes all of the moisture from the Royal Jelly — as a result, about 67% of the natural-state product disappears. This makes shipping and storage less expensive, but scientific research has shown that freeze-drying degrades Royal Jelly more quickly and may destroy some of the properties of this precious food substance. We are diligent and devoted to providing our customers with Royal Jelly that is as close to nature as possible, ensuring you the finest Royal Jelly available!
4. What do medical doctors think about the benefits of Royal Jelly?
Unfortunately, many doctors in the U.S. do not know about Royal Jelly because their field of expertise is in pharmaceutical drugs, not in nutrition and dietary supplements. 7. If I'm allergic to bee stings, can I still take Royal Jelly?
An allergy to bee stings means you have a sensitivity to bee venom. Although Royal Jelly is not the same as bee venom, some people who are allergic to bee stings might also be allergic to Royal Jelly. For others, this does not appear to be the case. However, if you have any concerns about taking Royal Jelly, we recommend you consult with your healthcare professional.
8. Why does BeeAlive® prefer to sell their Royal Jelly in a 3-month supply?
Royal Jelly is a natural food substance that can take time to work optimally in your body. 10. What are the major differences in this all natural skin care line, compared to the previous BeeAlive skin care line or other product lines on the market?
BeeAlive Spa Essentials™ are uniquely formulated and manufactured in small batches using an herbal infusion process that combines gentle oils with select combinations of effective and potent herbs. We have also used our knowledge of bee products to combine the ingredients into truly holistic and natural skin care products. Furthermore, unlike most skin care products, where the first ingredients are water and alcohol, we take advantage of the natural fluidity of aloe juice, which helps to improve hydration; while at the same time can supply nutrients without the drying effects of alcohol.
11. What is the shelf life of your products?
Expiry date is one year from date of production.
12. Why does the product’s color and viscosity differ slightly from my last purchase?
It is normal for different batches of products to vary in both color and viscosity due to the nature of the natural ingredients used in BeeAlive Spa Essentials™. Be assured that the product quality and results remain the same.
13. I just started using BeeAlive Spa Essentials™ and now I’m breaking out. Is this normal?
During the first weeks of a new facial skin care regimen, your skin may go through a “detox” period. Not to worry—this is normal. This tells you that your skin is being cleansed and that the products need time to work. Within 3-4 weeks of using your new facial care regimen, you should find your complexion becoming more balanced and visibly smoother and clear. Talk to us, we are here to help you find the best product regimen for you. If, however, you develop a rash, or have irritated or itchy skin, this may be a sign of an allergic reaction and you should stop using the product immediately.
14. Why are the products in this line not "certified organic"?
Each seal differs in the standards they set to achieve certain certification. The trouble, we believe, with this is that it may give consumers a false sense of safety. Just because it has an organic or natural seal doesn’t mean it is meets YOUR approval. We believe our consumers have the right and responsibility to read, question, and make informed choices about personal care products, by knowing the company and reading the labels.
15. How are the BeeAlive Spa Essentials™ products preserved?
It is possible to produce a high quality, well preserved, natural product without the use of harsh synthetic chemical preservatives, parabens, additives, and dyes. The ingredients in BeeAlive Spa Essentials™ were specially chosen and blended to create a natural preservative system.
16. Why did the product packaging change to bottles with a pump?
We are packaging BeeAlive Spa Essentials™ in glass serum pump bottles. This prevents contamination and keeps the ingredients in a pure and clean environment, so that there is less contact with bacteria that could harm the purity of the product. We have tested the pump bottles to make sure that the product provides a 45-day supply when used in amounts suggested on the label.
